Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we'll cover 15 years of Grateful Dead music, 1969-1984.

Our first selection this week is from 7/3/69 in Colorado Spring, CO, during a very creative time for the Dead: Sitting On Top Of The World, Morning Dew, High Time, Me and My Uncle, Casey Jones. This is only the third version of Casey Jones, a song debuted a few days earlier, on 6/22/69, in New York.

From the comeback tour in June, 1976, we have music from the middle night of a three night run in Passaic, NJ, on 6/18/76: Looks Like Rain, Row Jimmy, Cassidy, Mission In The Rain, Promised Land.

Our final selection this week is from 6/14/84 at Red Rocks, the end of the show. Earlier this night the band had played Dear Mr. Fantasy for the first time, and they continued the show with more top notch music: Playing In The Band>Black Peter>Throwing Stones>Not Fade Away, US Blues.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to join us next week here for more great tunes from the vault.

"The Engine Just Gleams..." Listened all mourning, xo. Going to the Lawyers, like yesterday; not for me, but for my Dad. This week will finalize much, necessarily, of course. Rock On One for Him. He loved having a few drinks and streaming up this and other music. Some of the best times, xo. He is a beautiful soul and now...never to be in long suffering, ever again. The winged were in new company. The Earth drank and my eyes, rain; she is opened to bury a treasure chest of limitless love. Be love and you will never not be love. To be sure, to be sure. It is my Dad, even with intense parts. Love ain't always served on a silver platter, Goes like that, for good, for good. Thank you for the excellent spans of '69-'84. So many variances to delight in and the continuously beautiful free flowing awe-inspiring love-touched just the best music that was ever made---rocks on! The Grateful Dead, for me, is a spiritual journey through a superior vibe of intellect . Thank God for the Grateful Dead And every soul producing it in any way!
