    Queen Jane 7/15/89
This is the best version of Queen Jane they ever did. Tight delivery, gripping solos, Bobby screaming the last verse, huge Phil bomb to end. Just listen!

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1974, 1984, and 1989.

Our first selection this week is from 7/19/74 in Fresno, a show that was later released as part of the Dave’s Picks series. From the first set of this excellent show, we have Scarlet Begonias ; El Paso ; Tennessee Jed ; Playing In The Band.

Next is the entire first set from 7/21/84 in Ventura, CA, where we have this terrific batch of music, Shakedown Street ; Little Red Rooster ; Althea ; Me And My Uncle > Mexicali Blues; China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider ; Looks Like Rain ; Might As Well, including a mid-set China>Rider.

Lastly this week is the end of the first set from the very fun, first Grateful Dead performance at Deer Creek, on 7/15/89: Peggy-O ; Queen Jane Approximately ; We Can Run ; Bird Song.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
