Pre-Sale Ticket Sales--I Agree with OneGreatfulDad (A couple of posts back)...I was on the Dead.net site 2 hours before Pre-Sale started and it was only because I did that I could even get to the buying area (After waiting in the "Waiting Area" for two hours!)... Notice--The email I got was not very informative...It did not say anything about mail-order and kind of implied that we have to go through the website to order tix. The Dead.net website wasn't very informative. I felt like a Wharf-rat in a maze with a bunch of Dead ends. (after being 'ready' for 2 hours)...And there was no notice of mail-order at all! Access--The Dead.net server was all clogged up and the ticket server was also clogged up so finally after hours I got the seats they gave me-nosebleed seats on the Phil side behind the stage!!(On the Pepsi Center map it shows them as out of bounds!!) The Waiting Area-- has instructions specifying not to reload this page or you will lose your place in line...Then it goes on to reload the page every minute or so automatically (WTF!) Eventually kicking me off the server completely (thereby theoretically losing my place "in line")...??? Choosing seats--In another browser tab I continued to search for seats and finally got through to the buying website. (2 hours after sales opened!) When I finally got to order tickets, I clicked on the venue link to see where they were on the map-big mistake! (Meanwhile I was still 'waiting in line' in the 'waiting area' in another tab) The Map-Pepsi Center has separate seating charts for each show (But none posted for The Dead) So I checked the Seating for the Metallica show (which was in the round) ...By the time I go to the Pepsi Center/Denver website and find the seating chart I get back to the ordering page and my seats were gone (or it got rid of me because I was too slow) (This was the first set of seats, this happened 3 times before I got seats) Not to mention that the seats I first got (section c) were not even listed on the map! (there were Sections CCC and CC but I didn't find C!) Choice-It was you get these seats and you don't get any other choice (you get the seats we give you-one shot!)-no choice/for a hundred bucks!?!...before the sale, The faq on dead.net specifically says that you can order more tickets if you go through the process again (Which I tried to no avail)... Ticket Allotment--and you are supposedly allotted 6 tickets per order (that was not the case, after getting one set of tickets you cannot go back and get more)... So in the end, I found the GDTSTOO website and sent for mail-order tix...and I'm praying for a 'miracle seat'to replace my Phil Zone Nosebleeds!! I can only imagine how others did at this... Gorkinoff (Deadhead Forever!) P.S. Then there is the 1000 miles I have to drive from South Dakota to Denver! (Can't wait to see all you guys there!!!) Goin' down the road feelin' bad...Don' wanna be treated this a-way...Woohoo!

Grateful Dead Ticket Sales will be honoring mail order requests. You still might be lucky with postmark 1/14, if you neglected to do one today. On 1/23 Ticketmaster will be offering tickets too. When I started going to Grateful Dead shows in 1972 it was not uncommon to show up at the last minute and still end up leaning on the stage in front of Bobby, Jerry or Phil. Back then, Donna was very mezmerizing and impressive with her stage presence. I encourage all of you to keep trying to acquire tickets, so you can witness the music playing the band.

With Papa in Grad school and me now a stay at home mom (both teachers), we're just looking for the cheaper seats [or a kind miracle ;^) ] to enjoy the show. I could chime in with the rest about costs but in reality, everyone is in a tuff place right now. If you have Albany extras, please shoot me a msg. Thanks. Peace, Love & Light-Kim

I went through the nightmare of the pre-sale tickets also. I finally won after an hour and three computers later! Only problem is I got an extra set just to be safe. So now I have an extra set of floor seats for sale. I'm only asking face value plus the service costs and shipping. It's section C row 42. PM me if you are interested.

    Shoreline Reserved Seats Wanted!
Well, I have to say that this was one of my worst ticket buying experiences ever! Don't get me wrong, I am ecstatic that the Dead are touring and hope they keep doing so! I'm just highly disappointed with the way this ticket sale worked and especially with the results! First, some background. I've worked for a ticket agency before. I have also run overnight ticket lines many times managing over 250 people in line at times. I have been to 366 concerts including 201 Dead and 36 Jerry (I'm deadicated as you can tell by my email address, I own skullandroses.com). I worked at Winterland Productions, was on BGP's will call list, have done mail order over 100 times, etc. I was acquaintances with many in the Dead family including Wavy, Gans and Kesey to mention a few and have met everyone in the band except Mickey and Phil (my hero). I have used computers since the early '80's and am a graphic artist and web designer. My computer is very recent and fast, my connection is via satellite. So, I'm not trying to boast, I'm simply pointing out that I'm not a novice at ANY of this. Now, I don't usually get upset when I don't get great seats... it happens (not often, but it happens). But this time it's special. I went through the 1989 SF Earthquake, then my store/business (Telegraph Ave in Berkeley) was ruined in the August 1991 Berkeley Riot and two months later I almost died and did lose everything I owned in the East Bay Hills Firestorm. I have had severe Post Traumatic Stress and have never been back there since. Well, these days, I'm a single dad of a 9 year old girl (an aspiring musician who has seen the dead, string cheese, mickey, grisman, dark star orchestra and Franti twice (she even got to dance and sing with him on stage once!)! We have never, ever had a real vacation. We've never been able to afford it. So, for this special event, we planned on a road trip where I could show her where my stores were, where I lived, the Greek Theater, where I lived when the fire happened, (maybe, if we're lucky, hit G.A.in San Jose (shhh)), etc. that she's heard so many stories about, including my vending inside Shoreline and how special that place is to me. So, even though it would really hurt financially, I was going to get the reserved seats to make it special for both of us and because I have a bad back and can't do that lawn. That's why I had EVERYTHING ready to go at exactly the moment that they went on sale. I tried to get 2 reserved seats for Shoreline, specifically, up front, as I usually do (even at MSG I never sat beyond the 3rd row). I was logged in prior to 9am pacific time and I point out that my computer is set to-the-second with the Official U.S. time. At precisely 9:00:02 I clicked on the link for tickets. Nothing. I tried again... nothing. That's when the nightmare began... Nothing on the ticketing site would work! I texted my friend and he was having trouble getting the pages to load as well. It took me literally over half an hour just to get to the first page that asks you how many tickets you want! AARRGGHH! After ordering 2 reserved and also 2 lawn tickets as a back-up, I had to battle with the security code that never wanted to appear on the page. When it finally decided to show itself several minutes later, the page told me that there were not enough reserved seats available. I only wanted TWO! Are you kidding me? Server problems and all, yet it's sold out in that short amount of time? Is Obama coming? So, with regret, we had to settle for lawn seats. Sigh.... It took almost an hour after I first clicked the link at 9 o'clock to complete what should have taken 5 minutes at the most. Needless to say, it has put a major damper on our trip as this show is going to be the climax of only our second trip ever that's over 1-1/2 hours away from our home (the first one being the Dead show at the Gorge in '04). The trip is going to be difficult enough for me financially and emotionally and now, even though I'll be happy to just be there and among my 'family', I have to look forward to a night of inferior sound, won't be able to see shit and a painful back. We really, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wish that the site worked properly this morning.... it ruined what could have been a perfect ending to a bittersweet trip.... At least we're in the gates...... sigh.... But, I am still going to look for tix up front. Please let me know if you can help. I can trade the lawn tix and cash, barter, whatever! It would mean a LOT to us! OneGratefulDad skullandroses.com netbrandsinc.com Inspiration...Move me brightly....Light the song with sense and color, Hold away despair...

Hey all! Looking for a couple for all three days. We are both sincere fans and will use the tickets we buy ourselves. Back in '95, I saw Three Rivers and the first night of Deer Creek and had tickets to the 2nd night but that show was canceled. It was a bit ugly. Decided not go on to Chicago and I missed that Shakedown and Unbroken Chain that last night... ever ... which I have regretted for many years. I am happy for you if you got your tickets! If you happen to have a couple of extras I would love to have them. I NEED A MIRACLE! Redemption... I'll get a new start, live the life I should. I'll get up and fly away! Not sure the best way to safely pay you but we can work it out. Willing to pay a bit over face for your time and effort but not looking to put money in a scalper's pocket. Thanks!

I will take two for any night if you can spare them - I just got my pinky yesterday. please email at david.elwood at usask.ca I am desperate - I saw them back in the 90's but was just a kid and planning to run away with the circus when...well we know what happened. I feel like I am walking around selling peanut butter with a cardboard sign around my neck - just need some tix...and another show to make it to. Peace EDIT: One thing I forgot to add - despite getting my pinky and the horror and sadness that came with relying on the heartless beast known as TM tomorrow; I think we owe Elvis and the people at GDTS a HUGE thanks for all the work they did. That must have been a horrible task deciding who gets tix and (mostly) who doesn't.

Sure hoping tomorrow is a better day! No luck like many with mail order and this morning with CID ticket packages -- sure hope to get lucky with TM tomorrow. Hope some kind soul will end up with a spare ticket... Thanks! (Needless to say any extras I end up with if I get lucky tomorrow will be made available here at cost.) Peace and happiness to all, Sam

Greetings all: After 5 weeks of intense anticipation I was unfortunate to have received the dreaded pinky. However, I do live in the Chicago area and I am next to public transportation to and from the city. I am offering any family oriented person/group housing accommodations in exchange for a single golden ticket. I can accommodate up to 4. This offer includes pick up and drop off at airport as well. Imagine not having to deal with making transportation or housing plans after this long wait. Your chariot awaits. Please consider this invitation when making your plans to visit our great city. Please PM me

Tried for VIP tickets this AM, gone in very short time, like 15 minutes. First time was at Woodstock and about 400 shows afterwards. Almost thought of putting in dying of something I am so desperate. But even I have limits. I already have my flight and hotel. OK I am begging. My daughters are to old to be offered up. Ok I don't have limits. BEGGING.

Ok just got shut out of TM - literally sold out inside of 5 seconds...this is sad. I am now at the mercy of sellers. Please I hope someone on this site has a heart and can share just one last time. Stubhub (that evil seller) has floor tix for $1200 up to $2500 - so mail order people cashing in. The worst seats in the house are going for $600...please anyone... I guess nothin left to do but smile, smile, smile...I will say thank you to the boys for putting it on and I hope it is everything I remember it to be (and I saw them on their rockiest tour - 95). All of you with tix, enjoy. I will be there in spirit.

Hello! Just looking for a pair of 2 or 3-day passes for the anniversary shows in Chicago. I sent in my envelope to GDTS TOO and got the rejection letter...TM public on-sale was a mess and StubHub is ridiculously unkind. So if anyone has some tix they can't use, send me a PM and I'll be glad to take them off your hands! :P

Hi all! I like many others tried the mail order route and got the dreaded letter. And I like many others got shut out of Ticketmaster too. Such a bummer there are so many of us that want to go with not enough tickets to go around, but that is to be expected with such a rocking, awesome, close to the heart band that has given us so many wonderful and cherished memories over the years. Although I have been lucky enough to see over 100 shows over the years, I truly wanted to be there for one last time. If you could find it in your heart to sell me a miracle ticket, I would be the most grateful girl ever!! Last time I saw the dead with Jerry was December of 94 when my daughter was in utero. I would love to be able to have the opportunity to bring my daughter to see them for the first time outside the womb (she's now almost 20...) Please help make this dream come true! I am looking for 2 tickets to all 3 nights, but will take any ticket, single or double for any night. Just trying to get into at least one show really! Many thanks! Hope to see you all at the show! enchanting.stacie@mac.com xoxox Stacie

I NEED to be at this reunion show in Chicago. It would make my heart so happy! If anyone would be willing to help a sister out with a ticket I would be eternally grateful! Peace love and Jerry! xoxo

The music has been such a spiritual sustenance for me, and the Grateful Dead changed my whole life. I know I am not the only one, but gotta put it out there at this point for whatever chance I have of getting that miracle PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP, CASH FOR YOUR EXTRA'S Would love 1 ticket to all shows, but would take 1 for any night if that's all I can get Peace crunzo@hotmail.com

Desperately seeking Chicago tickets!!!! ;)Hi, Please PM me if you potentially have 1-2 tickets for any single or all three nights. We booked a hotel the moment the dates were announced, and will likely be flying in from Asia (where I am predominately based), whether I am able to score 1 night or all three, but were not successful via mail or this morning. We are from the Santa Cruz area, and I am home for the next month or so and can meet anywhere in Northern California for the exchange at ANYTIME that is convenient for you. Please PM me for my mobile number - I understand you will want to verify that I am an actual deadhead, etc ;), or email me at wvstauble@yahoo.com Please let me know if there is any way to sweeten the exchange and I will do my utmost to show my gratitude in whatever (reasonable ;)) way!!! I'm still in the TicketMonster room, 5.5 hours later, spinning wheel with the damned message from the Monster saying, "Your wait time is less than 10 minutes." Smile smile smiling at that. And GDTS was a fail. I'd love to join my touring friends of past thirty years who all are reuniting from all over the USA for these shows. If any kind Head has two extra for each or any night for me and my lady friend, we'd be eternally grateful. We can offer your cost for tickets, good food and drink, and great vibes with friendly people at two day/night rooftop party in West Loop. There will be families with teens and all friendly folks. We can perhaps arrange a drive to or/and from the airport to your hotel for you, as well, if traveling from out of town and arrival/departure times work. Please message me if interested. Cheers and good luck to all.

Boxed out of the mail order and of course beat down by Ticketmaster. Looking for whatever I can find, any night. Would love to take my younger sister to at least one of the shows. Back in the 90's my folks would not allow her to join me in the annual Soldier Field festivities. I tried real hard to take her in '95 and it was a bust (she was only 14 in '95, big age gap between us). We all know what happened next...to this day she won't let my folks live down. Would love get her close to the real thing. Would appreciate any help. Unfortunately I cannot justify what the scalpers and stub hub are charging nor do I want to contribute to their greed. I'd rather pay the money to a reasonable head that is not looking to make a killing. Hopefully someone can help a brother out so I can help a sister out.

All those selling on stub hub for 10 to 50 times their purchase price should be shut out of going to the show ... they are not true Dead heads ...but merely Capitalists...I am a believer in the American Way but this is NOT ... the Promoters should find a way to purchase all these tickets on Stub Hub and not pay the seller and then find some fair method to distribute them to the true followers ...I do not even care if it is not me..... I first saw them at the Fillmore East in 1970 when they were still playing with the Riders

Looks like no tix from GDTS or Ticketmaster. If you could spare two tix for the 4th (4 would be even more awesome so I can take my adult children who have heard the stories but say they would need to see it to believe it. I tell them you would need to hear it to believe it!) I will be eternally grateful and after I pass this mortal plane will return as guardian to you and/or your offspring...How's that for a Grateful Dead kind of deal? I love the Grateful Dead but haven't been able to see them in concert since 1986 (at Alpine Valley). I had so hoped to go to the concert at Soldier Field back in 1995, but it was not to be. I would love to take my husband to see this final concert. Not only has he never seen the Dead in concert, he's actually never even been to a concert! As I'm disabled (I have MS - I use a cane or walker on good days and a wheelchair on bad days), we can do the accessible seating options or the regular ones. In order of preference: Sunday, Friday, Saturday just because of my husband's work schedule. He's normally off on Sundays and Fridays are easier for him to get time off than Saturdays. But we can't afford much more than $100 or so per ticket. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully consider selling us a couple of tickets. Sue

I have something quite musically valuable that I would like to trade for 3 3 night floor or pit ( plus face value of course). I also have several reservations at nearby hotels for less than $200 per night that might sweeten the deal even more. I was at the last show in Chicago and want to twirl in the exact same spot! I now am sure it's going to take a miracle. Pm me if you want to talk about a trade! Oddly, I dreamed of Alpine Valley last night - a screaming Fire on the Mountain with the sun setting. The dre was so much better than the day.

Thanks!

Hey Now I'll join this crowd too, even though I doubt it'll come through. Shut out of MO, and no luck with TM. I'll take any 2 tix for any night - preferably in Front of the Stage.

Hey folks,So yes, I too did not get my mail ordered filled. First time ever (I have been lucky), the Art Degree didn't hurt either. Yesterday's experience with Ticketmaster was terrible. Then to see that scalpers were selling 3 Day Passes for over $100,000.00 and one person selling a package for just over a Million Dollars..... well that made me cry. I hope that the thieves selling tickets are not Heads, they can't be. Can they? I have been on the bus since my first show at MSG on 1/7/79 and never stepped off. I need a Miracle and will pay fair market price. I already have my hotel and my flight from the East Coast. I know, silly me should have waited. I am looking for one 3 Day Pass or one ticket for each night. I am not real picky as far as seating is concerned, I just I just want in. I am a super sweet fun cool lady from the south and would add only positive vibes and love to the scene. Wow... sorry y'all if that sounds desperate but I kind of am. Just one ticket for each show for me. Thanks for reading this! Peace and Hugs, J.

Hey Pence, I am trying to get tickets for the 4th and if I do I will take your room nights if possible. Keep me informed. Ticketmaster blows for big shows and they always have! Rock on bro!
