Hello friends. recently my hard drive crapped out on me and i lost everything, do you have a few shows you could possibly send me. I really love JGB and i love all years of the grateful dead. I noticed the vineyard is barely active so ive just been messaging random users in hope I find that one willing to help. I dont mind paying shipping or whatever may need to be paid. Thanks for your time!

Well, there is the Road Trips release (ROAD TRIPS VOL. 2 NO. 4: CAL EXPO 1993) which has some pretty good stuff on it. When I first heard this it made me more appreciative of Vince Welnick, who was doing a lot to reinvigorate some old tunes at that time. Sold out on this site but is available elsewhere.

I'll be looking forward to these. Ditto for the Red Rocks shows too. Hopefully this band keeps it up for a few more years. Maybe I'll get a chance to see them in Buffalo or somewhere. Enjoy the NYE shows if you are going.

Does anyone have any CRB shows we can vine? They might be the greatest band I've heard in the past 25 years.

Have not been here in awhile, partly life stuff, partly just because not much seems to be going on with the Vineyard these days. Thinking about starting a few vines just to goose up the place. BTW, always ready to re-seed as the need arises, so grateful for the great sharing that has gone one here for years.

Hi there, I was wondering if someone would be able to reseed the Elvis Costello & Friends 4-24-89 vine. I tried contacting the person above me on the list several times. I know he has had a pc problem but I don't know if he has been able to resolve it. thanks in advance, Mike

with Hal also................From: Hal R To: maustin Subject: Re: vines Date: October 19, 2010 - 9:15am you aren't being pushy, they will start moving, I do not have a working computer and I have lost everyone's address due to computer crash, I am working on this. After being on the vines for over three years and keeping up with them I am really struggling to get at them now due to many health issues that have plagued direct family members for over the past year and which I must devote my energy to. Sorry, it is kind of hard to direct energy towards vines but will do so. It sucks for the vining community and it sucks for me to have to write a note like this. Please resend me your address and I will get off to you what you are next on the list for, thanks, peace Hal Since then have not heard a peep. Although it would be grate to see the vines move again, I hope all is well there. I find it hard to believe that he would intentionally kill these vines like some others (not to mention any names, but I'm sure we could all think of a boy).

I would be willing to help re-seed vines. If anyone can contact a person higher on the list (before the break) that may be willing to transfer the particular "stuck vine" files to a flash drive, I would be willing to send my 16GB flash drive to that person to facilitate the transfer. The transfer time should be quick and the return postage to me is about $2 USPS First Class. When I get the flash drive back I could burn the FLAC/SHN files to DVD-R or CD-R as needed and get them out to next person on the list. A quick re-start to the vine. My cost would be minimal (B&P) and I would get quite a few shows in the process. Since I am in the "in-between job" abyss, I could turn this around pretty quick. Let me know your thoughts here or via a PM. I would like to make a contribution to this system. Best Holiday Wishes-Jimmy

Hal is a very good viner. We also always accomodate people when they are having health, computer, family or any other life issues. Those are the most important things to take care of. Right? Also we used to do a better job at ensuring a vine is actually dead and gone before doing a re-seed. It is not feasible to re-seed every vine that stalls for awhile especially when it is stalled due to the issues already described. I think there is enough music circulating around where we can be patient while others get their issues worked out to get stalled vines going again. I realize that some vines disappear for good but many others that are stalled can get going again if we take the time to figure out where it was last seen and getting a hold of that person. Just my 2 cents. "It's got no signs or dividing line and very few rules to guide"

I know it is a pain that I have held up these vines and that for those of you that don't know me you may think I am not responsible, I am and I will not dissappear. They will get out. Please bear with me. Thanks JS and EDA for knowing that I am a long term player who has had major interuptions in life. Hearing that helps. I hope to post more here on the weekend and get things moving then again. If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. William Blake

Hal you need to take care of what matters most - you have been a solid member of our vining community for a long time and for those of us that have been along for the ride know that you would never intentionally hold up the vines. I sincerely hope that all is well with you and yours. The vines can wait. If we need to help on the vine side let us know. PM if needed. Looks good RMB. I was just thinking that I and we in the vineyard generally could use some more 90's shows. I am going to skim the Compendium and make a list of shows that, at least according to the editors and/or reviewers there, would make for good vining material. I will post in the metatopic this weekend. It would be great to see some 2 or 3 DVD vines from each year. Happy new year RMB and everyone else!

I have been going through these boards to see if I could help. I have been in contact with a few people to see whats lost. I am the owner of the 1995 vine and was my 1st one. I have been very frustrated last year. I have signed up for many vines and never got any of them. I have 1995 vine parts 2 and 3 done, but all the mess last year I held off posting them. If you all want I can reseed my vine. I only listed once and cant remember how to post it again. Send me some help and I will get it posted again. Let the music flow....Keep the music alive! The vineyard has improved big time the last few months. Your '95 vines would be greatly appreciated I bet (I know I need some!). To start a vine just post it in the New Decade, New Vines Topic. To re-seed I guess try to find out who was up next and see if they are still in or not. Thanks man!! "It's got no signs or dividing line and very few rules to guide"

Can anyone help re-seed this Euro 72 vine? Here is the link: http://www.dead.net/forum/4-europe-shows-vine-5-4-5-11-5-16-5-26-1972 Four shows: 5-4-72, 5-11-72, 5-16-72 and 5-26-72 Fairly long shows but they could possibly fit on one FLAC/SHN DVD-R The vine had a real good run from December 2007, approximately 40 stops. I can contribute a recent upgrade to 5-4-72 and on older 5-26-72 version. Both SHN/FLAC. Best Wishes-Jimmy

There are 4 parts to this vine, and they're all stalled. Boo-hoo. I'd trade my left nut for these shows; but that's not part of my request.... Seriously though, if ANYONE is willing to get part one going, I believe dstache will reseed part 2 (if he's still willing), and a bunch of newbies/latecomers would be doing a major happy dance in various parts of this country. I'd of course send blanks and postage to the sainted Head who is willing to reseed. http://www.dead.net/forum/1977-lossless-vine-part-1 Peace! Joe

I think 3 of the 4 are out of commission anyway. I can't wait for September!! I just think E72 will be the greatest music release maybe ever. And to think I almost blew this off because of price and availability of the shows elsewhere blah blah blah and then luckliy I came to my senses and immediately placed my order ... wheeeww!! Hope you all are having an awesome weekend. I hate saying this but Go Packers!! "It's got no signs or dividing line and very few rules to guide"
