    Cold Rain and Snow
One of my absolute favorite songs and this was the first time I heard it live. Appropriate for the weather that was going on during that show.

One of my first sets of shows
These shows at the Centrum were life changing for me. I was 17, and these are the shows that, after everything I had, got stolen and I was in the rain for three days, people were really nice, helped me out with food and a place to stay. In return, I gave this guy my extra ticket and he was stoked. The music was amazing and I have been hooked ever since.

    My first show
Solidly played from start to finish. I remember being very tuned into the Mickey and Bill, they seemed to be driving the show and Jerry had some nice playing throughout. After years of listening to bootlegs and friends trying to convince me to go, I went. Been hooked ever since.

One of two arrests for drinking in public. Used my ticket to get in the next night.

This show was Jerry's triumphant return to the New England area following his near-death coma and hospitalization in 1986. For many of us who didn't travel farther for shows, this was our first time seeing him, and the Dead, in a couple of years. It was so joyous seeing him, and the Dead, back again. People were crying with happiness that Jerry was still with us, and looking good, at least for the time being. It was a very good show.

There were a lot of us who really thought it was the end of the road less than a year earlier when Jerry got sick so bad was the news. This show was proof he was well again.
