These show were tough if you
These show were tough if you came from out of town. I was living in Eugene and I drove by the Holt a week before ticket were going on asale. A friend of mine was sitting there on a beach chair with a cooler. "Chuck, what are you doing? Getting first in line for tickets!!!". That week in that line was amazing, so much fun. A crew came down from Corvalis the next day and had pot lucks and music. The cops were cool, we were cool. with an 8 ticket min for each show we all had good seats

These shows were very tough to get into. There were many of us hanging out in the parking Garage attached to the Theater. I was really lucky to even get into these shows. Yes great place to see the band. And agree with above comment not as nice as Fox but still very nice. They would not let us do much but dance in front of our seats. Although they had the basement wired for sound so could dance freely down there, much like the way the wired up the Kaisers.

Yeah, great venue. It was like listening to the band in your living room. Very comfy, sound and sightlines were awesome.

Kesey tried to make sure no one messed up the place too much so the Dead could come back there and play again. I'm from Atlanta and went to school in Eugene and would have to say the Hult is pretty close to the Fox in sound quality.

This was my second show and the place where I got on the bus. Had recently graduated from U of O and was just hanging around town. Friend of a friend had and extra ticket and I was in. Often wondered if I paid that girl. I recall that we were encouraged to "Dress to the Hilt for the Hult;" the building was new and the city fathers were already well on their way toward managing and civilizing Eugene's counter-culture rep and just a wee bit worried that Heads would actually be moving into the downtown for their bacchanal. Not the Country Fair, after all.

as I recall. Wasn't the Hilton just across a plaza from the Hult? Entering through the parking garage enabled you to get to the Hilton Hot Tub! Yay! Nekkid deadheads in the hot tub! Exploring the Hotel, we decided that the band was on the seventh floor because thet floor had a receptionist and a faux Persian rug. I kept stopping the elevator at that floor untill that receptionist was NOT there, then I snagged that rug and put it in my bus.
