I can't believe this was DDN's worst show of 90. I got to Oaktown that day from a long drive from MD and only a few of us were awake and made it to the show. It was like reaching Mecca. We didnt even have time to catch a Z before the show and the guy sitting next to us noticed and took care of us right away. Great night, great show.

    worst show of '90 ??
Second set is extremely hot. The played tight, hard, and inspired this whole run, and the comes a time was spellbinding.

I was on the floor for this one. I was soo pumped after Estimated that I didnt hear the begining of Comes A time untill people around me were crying becasue it had been such a long time... Very magical when this happens! My other memory was that I had made it in front of Phil in the 2nd set and when he broke into Lovelight I started yell for him to sing and he looked at me and laughed... A silly thing to do but we both got a laugh... Fun shoe!!

This run was without doubt my peak Deadhead experience. It started off in the stratosphere and just got higher from there. And for once, a New Year's Eve show that actually lived up to the hype! Comes a Time was a wonderful surprise on this opening night (first one since Roanoke 7/8/87 if memory serves), as was my first time ever to hear Hamza El-Din, whose song and tar duet with Mickey was phenomenal, better than the New Year's version. Also formulated on this night was the infamous "Volleyball Strategy" as a way to get a good spot on the floor. BGP always had a volleyball tournament at the back of the floor before the shows, and by lining up along the sidelines and waiting until the exact moment the game ended, it was possible to dash into a great spot that had just been part of the volleyball court. Worked like a charm all four nights, best of all on NYE! "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy."

Dunno folks, I attended this. Busted my ass to get a tic. I got one just as they opened the 1st set. This show had more holes in it, then my shoes did back then. I was pissed, right up untill they broke out Comes A Time. All was forgiven, see I'm a sucker for a slow Jer. Just can't help myself.
