    Two Planes collided

While watching fire works in the parking lot before the show I saw an explosion in the sky. I knew it wasn’t fireworks from the type of explosion and saw the debris hit the ground a few miles off. Everyone else said I was tripping ( I was) but sure enough I saw two planes collide that night. Those poor people that died in the air and on the ground that night. The show was awesome !

    The garden state??
As a resident of Long Island I did not look forward to shows in NJ. Especially the Meadowlands. It was exhausting to get there and once at the meadowlands there was no easy way out. If you didn't get there early you were forced to park far from the venue. I think this was the first show that Byrne arena had signs that read " No knives, guns, weapons or missiles allowed", WTF. Fortunately once inside most shows - including 11/11 were very enjoyable. I think this was the first show I saw the Garcia Band version of Deal with the jam prior to last chorus- not a big fan. Loved Bird Song. Second set was big bouncy and beautiful. I think this was the first show I saw Dear Mr. Fantasy. Loved it!! On this night it was preceded by some nice space. Brokedown was a perfect ending. As usual I left very satisfied and wished the boys would never return to NJ

Parked Early,Cattle-Crossing Leads to Brendan Barn Arena
This venue still is were the "'The Cattle Crossing"is at. A name that stuck for the wooden structure that covers the pedestrian overpass from the Giant's Stadium parking lots, across the high-way and into Brendan Barn's lot and the arena. There is no other way to get there. So if you did not get delayed enough at the NJ Turnpike toll booths plus the crawl thru the cattle-crossing (were deals a plenty were going down) and then the frisk and ticket scrutiny at the outer fence and your feet were inside by 7pm. you heard "Walking The Dog > Deal" Of course being a taper I had to leave the hotel party early, then the lot party to stand in que at the correct outer-fence. But Oh-boy, being on the floor, all systems go, beer in hand , fatty zone, then the Deal with wide-open dance space around the sound board. I was lovin' it. Cheers cubby

This was my 1st Fantasy-Hey jude......I cryed. It came out of no where, with Brent leading the way!!!Going ahead and laugh, I'm sure all of you cryed at one show or another. I always love that scarlet-fire-estimated-eyes opener. Weir in the middle of Lovelight stops it, yelling " wait a minute, wait a minute, WAIT A MINUTE!!!! I thought something was wrong?? a few seconds went by...........the band looking at Weir puzzeled?? "a good frind of mine once told me, turn on your love light and keep it on , Ture on your love light and let shine on me" I cryed again..............i must have eat some good crying acid that night...............lol Fucking good show!!!!

This was a great show, but pretty short. I have a ticket stub and it only costs $15.00!! Can't buy any ticket that low any more.

I remember this was a good fun show! I remember during the set break, I was looking at my purple light up rose, (which I purchased right outside MSG,right before the St. Stephen show in 1983, my first & last Stephen) & there something I had not noticed before, written in script up the the side of the green battery holder was "Love Light" (which I had never heard live yet). Staring @ it I said to my friend hey Gary look this is my love light, he laughed, then I showed him the inscription & he said wow it really is! I said yeah it is & here I always said it was my St. Stephen w/a rose light. I then made a prediction that I would get my first Love Light that evening. I was grinning from ear to ear! when they broke that out!! Gary looked @ me & just said, "WOW" that is one lucky light you have there. Yeah it was. As a side note, That light is 25 yrs old & still works! Everyonce in a while I'll bring it with me to a Rat Dog or a Phil show!

Wow, I was in heaven only time I ever saw the Dead on my B-day. Had a lot of fun but did get amused with the "cattle crossing" we were mooing the whole way across. went with some friends 2 who have since passed. I remember running astound the whole arena and ending up way up in the nosebleed seats getting stoned and I do remember a door being passed over our heads while we were waiting to get in what a weird experience
