    Smokestack Bobby..........
Saw seven shows on this tour and while maybe not up to the level of 10/12, this was solid and since I was/am a huge Pigpen fan I recognized the return of Smokestack Lightning right away and was thrilled........... Rock on, Doc G

    Back in the home state
This may sound bit off to some but I never enjoyed shows in my home state maybe to many run in's with the old school buddy's that couldn't get past leaving there home town. Yet today I listened to this one again my oh my the boys sure did like this tiny little hole meant in a good way. I have always liked the band for taking the chance to play in smaller arenas. ie Cape Cod here and providence I think the intimate setting always got them off. For real check out the rhythm devils into space omg they had the trip going on this night. Maybe cause as Rodger Allinson said above the "Hog Farm connection?" Did they come out for some great seafood and fun end of the tour? Also I love to remember the look on the locals and people working at all of the different cits they played and how we for surely freaked out those employees and locals our unity was beyond their reality. . I think they must of went home and told there loved ones those dead heads are wild.................

    first show!!
I always thought what was continuously played on the radio if anything was boring until a brother had me listen to skeletons, live dead and I got on the bus from there. Being a lennon fan and hearing revolution as an encore on was on the bus and staying on. Awesome first show scene was cool, I was amazed with the music as and the community, and it left me wanting more, and more and more. Peace and HugsY'All, Grateful Ken

After college I was headed to Europe solo for the first time with my backpack. I SHOULD have been at my parents house in NJ getting ready, but instead I couldn't resist the chance to catch these shows. Hate to admit it, but I do believe that the show was sold out. I had a ticket for the first night, but not the second. Someone inside opened the door so we could come pouring in; behavior I usually complain about, but there I was.... A great show, but throughout I was worried -- what do I know about traveling overseas? My foreign language skills are terrible. What if I got lost? What if I had a bad time? And then the encore came and we all sang along: "You know it's going to be -- ALRIGHT! Don't you know it's going to be -- ALRIGHT!" Drove home after the show (including a one-hour nap by the side of the ride in my car) and made it to the airport just in time to fly People's Express (remember?) to Gatwick airport in Great Britain. Caught the commuter train in to London, another train to Dover, and the ferry to France. From there caught another train to Paris. (All of this a mystery to me -- I just keep asking at each terminal how I get to Paris from there.) The only problem was that I had no idea how long it would take the train to get to Paris, and I was afraid to fall asleep for fear that I would miss the stop. Got to Paris and for some reason all the cheap hotels were sold out -- found myself on the subway with three American girls all looking for a place to stay. I mention all of this only because the whole time I'm on this journey I'm STILL wearing the clothes I danced in at the show, and I STINK! Whee! Glen

The band seemed to always play in a different zone on Lennon's birthday. (2nd set "Jack Straw" after "Help > Slip! > Franklin's"??? --- nice touch w/the lyrics from that ballad). Check out this date over the years, esp. after the murder, and you'll find special shows. (Same is true for Hunter's birthday: June 23)
