Good show...missed first set
Good show...missed first set though got pulled over by a Mass state trooper, in a tense moment...got a ticket and hit Albany late.
Always wanted to see New Sppedway, was bummed when I found I missed it
Down by the river
I remember we camped with a bunch of other heads down by the river the first night. In the morning some guy had jumped off the bridge into the river then climbed back up. A kind fellow with us gave him a jacket to cover his shivering body with. When he asked the jumper 'what am I going to tell my wife when I come back with no jacket' the space cadet says 'tell him you saw a crazy man'. Dip shit.
Another Amtrak Show
Took Amtrak up to Albany and remember drinking in the bars with one of my brothers, prior to this show, selling pictures of the band he had taken over the previous few years. First time I saw Vince preform alone with the Band.
I remember the first set being awesome and the second set being one of those fits and starts type of sets. Never got a good flow going but the renditions were very good.
Albany was kind of a pit, it mirrored Ironweed to a T and the town really welcomed the deadheads. I liked Upstate NY shows but unfortunately never made it back to the Knick.
The Knick is home to the last live Dew.
Anyone who sweats like that must be alright
