Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where we roll through the depths of winter with music from 1969, 1981 and 1994.
Our first stop is on 10/26/69 at Winterland in San Francisco, where we have music from the early part of the show featuring Jam, Hard To Handle, Cold Rain and Snow, Me and My Uncle, Next Time You See Me, Dire Wolf, Casey Jones.
Next up, because we can never have too many versions of Me and My Uncle out there, we have music from 9/27/81 at the Capital Center in Landover, MD, featuring the end of the first set: Me and My Uncle>Mexicali Blues, It Must Have Been The Roses, Lost Sailor>Saint Of Circumstance.
Lastly this week is some music from the more recent Grateful Dead past, only 20 years ago, where we have the start of the second set from 10/5/94 in Philadelphia, featuring Midnight Hour>Cumberland Blues, Playing In The Band>Uncle John's Band>Jam. I have a soft spot for Midnight Hour, the first song I ever saw the Grateful Dead perform live in concert.
Be sure to join us next week for more tunes from the vault.
