There was a show?
Anyone get the license on that truck?
Yes, Indeed
the Bus came by and I got on! FIRST SHOW (~);}
First concert!
This was my first concert and my first Dead show! It turns out it was my wife's first show too but we didn't know each other yet. We eventually met years later across the country.
All 3 Nights...
Could see Jerry's Cat! ..copped Ticket @ Meadowlands (happily traded a GA Ticket for Meadowlands show that night, had an extra for this Row 10 Center seat! Purchased the other 2 night, Floor, also......Karma!
All 3 shows all front center row.
A few of us took a trip to Rose Records on Wabash to all get wristbands. They were selling tickets by a lottery…..draw a number and that’s who was first in line and then they went in sequential order from there. Well one of us four ended up third or fourth in line when the tickets went on sale and did we ever get the best possible seats we could afford!
“DEAD” center front rows…7th, 8th, and 10th I believe…..THE VERY BEST 1st Grateful Dead Concert ever! We rented a huge Ryder truck and camped out in the parking lot for 4 nights and 5 days …… or was it 3 nights and 4 days? I still have everything I bought (not the P,B&Js, shrooms, etc…..naturally) from the parking lot 35 years later. The type dyes are rather tattered anymore though.
