Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music spanning 20 years, from 1973 to 1993, all of which comes from the state of New York.
Our first select this week is second set jam sequence from 3/30/73 in Rochester, NY, which features Truckin' > Jam > Space > Eyes Of The World > Not Fade Away > Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad > One More Saturday Night.
Next up, from 12 years later on 3/29/85 at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY, we have the entire first set featuring Cold Rain And Snow ; Down In The Bottom > I Ain't Superstitious ; Friend Of The Devil ; Supplication > My Brother Esau ; Tennessee Jed ; New Minglewood Blues > Don't Ease Me In. These Nassau shows featured loads of great playing, and a special appearance by Matt Kelly on harmonica during the second and third songs.
Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 3/27/93 at the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany, NY, the fourth straight year in a row they played at the Knick. They skipped 1994, but returned for two shows in 1995. From this show, we have Eyes Of The World > Estimated Prophet ; Comes A Time ; Corrina.
