The Grateful Dead Meet-Up At The Movies is going global for the first time! On August 1st, join us, near and far, as we gather in theaters worldwide for our 9th annual special cinema event. This year we will be featuring the full concert from June 17, 1991 at Giants Stadium in New Jersey.
Come one, come all! On August 1st, we'll be bringing the boogie back to your favorite local moving picture house for the 8th Annual Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies. This year's special cinema event is the full concert from July 7, 1989 at Philadelphia’s John F. Kennedy Stadium.
Join us, won't you, as we celebrate what would have been Jerry's 75th birthday with the music and magic of the Grateful Dead on the silver screen. A special one-night-only cinema event, the 7th-annual Meet-Up At The Movies features the previously unreleased July 12, 1989 RFK Stadium concert. Spoiler alert: the rare first set contains at least one song sung by each of the four lead singers, not to mention a terrific show-opening rendition of “Touch Of Grey.” And the second set?
We're shaking things up in movie theaters across the good old U.S. of A. once again! Gather up your favorite Grateful guys and gals and meet us on April 20th at 7 p.m. local time for a celebration of the 40th anniversary of The Grateful Dead Movie. In addition to the feature presentation, we'll be screening an exclusive look at footage from the upcoming Grateful Dead documentary, Long Strange Trip, executive produced by Martin Scorsese and directed by Amir Bar-Lev.
